GA 13231 15231 4 Rotor Gyrorakes

KUHN GA 13231 - 15231 4 Rotor Gyrorakes

The four-rotor rakes GA 13231 and GA 15231 work from 8.40 m to 12.50 m and from 9.50 to 14.70 m respectively. Their 100% hydraulic drive saves you one hour of maintenance per day. They feature numerous developments, both in terms of raking quality, ease of use and machine life.

These rakes offer high productivity thanks to their very wide working width. The presence of a single greaseable transmission saves you up to one hour of maintenance per day, compared to a mechanically driven rake of equivalent size. This time saving allows you to increase your yield by windrowing up to ten more hectares per day.

Features & Benefits

The working widths from 8.40 to 12.50 m and from 9.50 to 14.70 m allow for outstanding yields, which is one of the many benefits of the GA 13231 and GA 15231 rakes. These large widths require excellent adaptability of the machine to the requirements of the crop harvesters or balers downstream of the harvesting chain. This flexibility allows you to adjust working and windrow widths continuously and hydraulically from the cab.

  • To protect the soil and the plant cover, optimal adaptation of the rotors to the changing terrain is just as important as low ground pressure that limits compaction. KUHN's four rotor rakes are fully equipped to meet these requirements. Suspended from the junction of a pivot point and independent of the main frame, the rotors can swivel in all directions thanks to the 3D rotor pendulum joint. They precisely and efficiently follow the variations in the terrain. The result: a flawless performance, the assurance of a clean crop and a healthy plant cover.
  • One hour less maintenance, one hour more windrowing! The rotors are driven hydraulically by hydraulic pumps driven by a single transmission to minimise maintenance. Forget about the daily greasing of secondary transmissions. You save up to one hour compared to a mechanically driven rake of the same size. This can make a difference when rain is threatening, and the crop has to be brought in quickly. This reduces the need for maintenance.
  • The homogeneity and volume of the windrows are prerequisites for rapid drying and easy pickup by the balers. The tine arms of the GA rakes are positioned hyper tangentially. This means that they reach a 90° angle very late. Combined with the tines' steep slope cam, tine clearance is quick, later and requires little turning effort.
